I greet you my precious and faithful prayer and financial pillars. I appreciate you all and I'd like to remind you that God is always in control and will keep us all from falling even when the earth beneath us sinks and the mountains around us come crashing down. You are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ whom we believe in and rely on. Amen!!!
This is my first update for the year. And I'd like to start by saying; I have heard many people said; God instructed them to fast for certain number of days in the beginning or middle or end of a year. But not me. And that does not make me feel indifferent because I like food and I eat it with passion :) off course, it doesn't mean I don't fast at all... I only fast when I think its necessary for me , or when I know it would only take fasting to get to see God move through me and do wonders while I minister His Living Word to others. Also, I fast sometimes when the Holy Spirit leads me to do so but not for a lengthy period of days. No way!!!
But then, on the Christmas Day of 2010, God spoke to me while I was listening to brother Jentezen Franklin on TBN channel. Part of what God said to me was: “Sam, I want you to fast for 21 days too. Just as I have instructed Jentezen Franklin and the people he is shepherding, to fast.” Wow! honestly, it wasn't cool by me but then God reminded me that It's part of the new heights for the new year He gave me new wings for. Still, I was wondering how on earth am to fast for that long, seeing that I have always skipped cooperate fasting periods that are longer than 5 or sometimes 7days. That really got to me.
Suddenly, on the 4th of January, my whole being started craving for the upcoming fast :) Praise Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit for the excitement and joy and expectations I have for the fasting which will begin on the 9th of January 2011. The Holy Spirit is the reason why I am so fired up to embark on this new journey. I now have the boldness and courage like never before to run with God and hear Him, and worship Him and see Him do so much in me , for me, for others, and through me for His glory! Amen!
